MONDAY Afternoons

The Sam Mobile Match Play League is named in honor of the late Sam Mobile, a beloved long-time season pass holder and avid golfer.

This league is open to all golfers with a handicap of 10 or less, including both season pass holders and non-pass holders. Non-pass holders will pay a weekly green fee to participate.

Format

  • 9 Holes: Weekly rounds with tee times beginning at 5:00pm
  • Match Play: A traditional match play format is used.
  • Individual Play: The league is made up of individuals, not teams.
  • Points System:
    • 2 points for a match win
    • 1 point for a tied match
  • Rotating Nines: Divisions alternate weekly between the front nine and back nine.
  • Tee Boxes: All golfers will play from the White Tee Markers

Tuesdays

TUESDAY Morning

The Freedom Men’s League (FML) was introduced in 2022 and is open to all male golfers aged 62 and above. Both Sycamore Golf Club season pass holders and non-pass holders are welcome to participate. Non-pass holders will pay applicable green fees.

Format

  • 18 Holes: Weekly rounds with tee times starting at 8:30am.
  • Individual Sign-Up: Golfers register individually and are paired weekly with players of similar handicaps when possible.
  • Handicaps: Each participant will receive an official league handicap based on their rounds played on league days; Maximum HDCP is 36.
  • Varied Formats: A variety of formats are played throughout the season, offering opportunities for all skill levels to win.
  • Tee Boxes: All golfers will play from the Yellow Tee Markers

  • Field Limit: Up to 40 players
  • League Fee: $10 per player, paid weekly. All fees go into the weekly prize pool

WEDNESDAY Afternoons

The Ron Razniewski Memorial Men’s League is named in honor of Ron Razniewski, a beloved longtime member, employee, and supporter of Sycamore Golf Club, who passed away in the fall of 2020. This is the most popular men’s league at Sycamore Golf Club.

  • 9 Holes: Weekly rounds
    • Early Division: Tee times begin at 3:30pm.
    • Late Division: Tee times begin at 4:30pm.
  • Team Play: Two-person teams compete in two divisions.
  • Handicapped Scoring: Team scores are calculated using handicaps. Matchups include low handicap vs. low handicap and high handicap vs. high handicap.
  • Rotating Nines: Divisions alternate weekly between the front nine and back nine.
  • Tee Boxes: All golfers will play from the White Tee Markers

WEDNESDAY Mornings

The Wednesday Morning Women’s Golf League, affectionately known as the “Niners,” is a fun and welcoming group for women golfers of all skill levels. Teachers are especially encouraged to join, with flexible attendance as their schedules allow.

Format

  • 9 Holes: Enjoy a casual 9-hole round each week starting at 9:00am
  • Flexible Play: Weekly play is organized in threesomes based on the women in attendance.
  • Inclusive Atmosphere: Open to all women, regardless of ability level.
  • Tee Boxes: All golfers will play from the Red Tee Markers

Thursdays

THURSDAY Mornings

The Chicks with Sticks league welcomes lady golfers of all experience levels for fun and friendly competition.

Format

  • 18 Holes: Enjoy a full round of golf each Thursday morning at 8:30am
  • Regular Season: Split into two 8 week halves with points accumulating in each half and resetting at the halfway point.
  • Playoffs: At the end of the regular season, all golfers will be seeded by points and handicap and compete in a handicap stroke play tournament bracket.
  • Weekly Pairings: Golfers are paired weekly, with a variety of games offered throughout the season.
  • Handicaps: Handicaps are created and maintained for all participants (maximum handicap allowed is 54, per USGA rules).
  • Tee Boxes: All golfers will play from the Red Tee Markers

Scoring

Players can earn points each week in two ways:

  • Points awarded based on your Net Score Standing each week
  • Low Gross, Low Net, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Longest Putts, Pars, Birdies, Chip-Ins, and more!
  • Standings are updated weekly based on accumulated points.
