SUMMARY:The 6X6X6 Ryder Cup Format Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The event features a similar format to the Ryder Cup. Play will be in two-person teams. The first 6 holes\, holes 1 through 6\, will be played in a “Better Ball of Pairs” format just like the Ryder Cup. Each player plays their own ball and the best score of each pair is recorded on the scorecard. The second 6 holes\, holes 7 through 12\, will be played in an alternate shot\, again like the Ryder Cup. Players will alternate shots and alternate tees on each of the 6 holes. Finally\, the last 6 holes\, holes 13 through 18 will be played in a basic scramble format. Each player tees off and the best shot is selected. This continues until the ball is holed. Daily fee players will also pay a green fee for each round played. Players compete over a period of two weeks. All 100 holes must be played within the 2-week period. Each participant will make their own tee time for each round. The number of holes played per day is at the discretion of the player. Players must play with at least one other golfer who will keep their score. After each round the participant turns in their scorecard\, with the scorer’s signature\, to the pro shop. Half Cash and Half Gift Certificate prizes will be awarded to the top 3 places in each division.
