Beginning Monday, September 22, the City of Sycamore will begin work on the creek that runs through the golf course between the Kishwaukee River and Parkside Drive. The Sycamore Park District is dedicated to helping ensure the City’s efforts are successful and as efficient as possible.
To accommodate their needs while minimizing the impact on the course, play will be rerouted as needed on holes 6, 7, and 8. We do not anticipate any hole closures will be necessary. During construction, we will post route and tee updates at the Clubhouse and on social media.
Thank you for your support as we work together with the City to keep our community in top shape. We appreciate your patience and flexibility to try a fun new twist on your regular round!
According to the City, this project will restore creek capacity, improve stormwater management, and enhance drainage for the adjacent neighborhoods as well as the creek. Work on the golf course will be completed within 21 days of the start date, and construction access will come from Parkside Drive. For information or questions regarding the project, contact the City of Sycamore at 815-895-4515.
